The Stanford Women’s Leadership Conference (SWLC) is an annual event hosted by the Women’s Community Center focused on engaging members of the Stanford community in conversations about leadership development. Over the years, SWLC has become a vibrant forum celebrating the diversity of leadership, reflected by the speakers and mentors who come to share their stories and thoughts on their leadership work in their respective communities and fields. This year, SWLC is taking place on Saturday, April 7 at the Tresidder Oak Lounge. Attendees are invited to explore issues that face women leaders through a variety of talks, workshops, and dialogues. Throughout the day, we hope to foster a community space from which participants can draw inspiration and empowerment as they move forward in their own leadership paths.
The conference is open to all Stanford students, staff, faculty, and alumni. The WCC welcomes folks of all genders, identities, backgrounds, and experiences to join us at SWLC. |

This year’s conference theme is Dare to be Powerful: Our Strengths, Our Vision, Our Community. As we began planning for the conference, the staff and I recognized that current events in the world have left many of us wanting to shape our future for the better, but questioning our ability to do so on our own. Drawing inspiration from Audre Lorde, our theme reflects our commitment to empowering ourselves and our peers to take pride in our unique powers. By drawing on those strengths, we will be better able to realize our vision and build stronger individuals and communities.
